Assignment Relationship

In a collection launch action or a restitution launch action, the assignment relationship is a table or view in the client database that assigns one or more address book users to each entity.

The assigned users will have access to the documents corresponding to the entities concerned.

The assignment relationship must contain, at a minimum :

  • The list of records of the diffusion axis (if there is only one) or combinations of diffusion axis (if there are several axis) will determine the list of entities.
  • The users’ email address or a field that allows this address to be obtained by joining the address book

Examples

Consider the following address book:

Carnet d'adresses

The following assignment relationship is correct:

Relation d'affectation

Actually, all records in the “ADDRESS” field are present in the address book.

The following assignment relationship would also be correct and would provide the same result:

Relation d'affectation

Why? Because the “ID” field exists in the address book and all records in the “ID” field in the assignment relationship exist in the corresponding field of the address book.
