GTPATNUM function

Syntax

GTPATNUM([reference])

Role

The GTPATNUM function returns the record number of the ‘reference’ cell in a pattern. If no argument is passed, the cell containing the formula is used.

Notes

  • This function returns #N/A in Design.
  • Combined with conditional formatting, this function can be used to perform band-coloring in a pattern.

In the previous example, we put the following conditional formatting on the basic pattern:

This does not change the appearance in Design (because GTPATNUM returns #N/A), but in GTAnswer, we have the following result:

Excel export

Like all GT functions (except GTMS.), this function only has its value stored in the Excel workbook exported from the questionnaire. For more details, see XLSX Export.
